Who we are

Tru Vybz Radio (“TruVybz Radio”, “we”, “us”) operates the TruVybz Radio mobile application (the “App”), an internet radio community offering live audio streaming, a real-time chat room, user profiles, a Fan Cam photo wall, custom emojis and a video (TV) section. Information we collect

We collect only what the App needs to work.

• Account information When you register, we use Firebase Authentication (a Google service) to create your account with your email address and a password. Your password is managed and stored securely by Firebase — we never see or store your raw password.
• Profile information A display name / nickname and an optional profile photo (avatar) that you choose.
• Content you create Chat messages, emoji reactions, Fan Cam photos and captions, and song / “Vybz” requests you submit, along with timestamps.
• Moderator uploads If you are a moderator, the custom emoji images and station settings you upload or edit are stored so the community can see them.
• Presence & usage data Basic online/presence status for the live listener and chat counts, plus limited technical/log data (such as app errors) needed to keep the service running.
  
  

We do NOT collect payment card details, precise location, contacts, or listening history of individual songs.

How we use your information

• Create and secure your account and profile.
• Deliver core features: live audio, chat, Fan Cam, emojis, requests and the TV section.
• Display your public content (see Section 5) to other members.
• Operate moderation tools that keep the community safe.
• Show aggregate live listener / chat activity.
• Diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve the App.

Third-party services

The App relies on trusted third parties who process data on our behalf.

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage) Stores your account, profile, content and uploaded images. Governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
• Radio.co Delivers our streaming audio. When you listen, your device connects to Radio.co to receive the stream.
• Zelle If you choose to support the station, you may send a voluntary contribution via Zelle using your own banking app. Any payment is handled entirely by Zelle and your bank; we never receive your card or banking details.

Public content

Please remember the community is public. Your nickname, profile photo, chat messages, emoji reactions and Fan Cam photos are visible to other users of the App. Do not share anything you wish to keep private.

Sharing & disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers above to run the App, with other users for the public content you post, or where required by law or to protect the safety, rights or property of the community and TruVybz Radio.

Data retention

We keep your account and content while your account is active. Content removed by you or by a moderator may be deleted or hidden. When you delete your account, we remove or de-identify your personal information, except where we must retain it for legal or safety reasons.

Your rights & choices

• Access and update your profile (nickname, avatar) at any time in the Profile tab.
• Edit or delete your own content where the App allows.
• Request deletion of your account and associated personal data in-app or by contacting info@truvybzradio.com.
• Control device permissions (camera / photos) in your device settings.

Children’s privacy

The App is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security & storage

Your data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure through Firebase and protected by industry-standard safeguards and access rules that limit who can read or change data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
